In the last month the club has trialled a new payment system for our youth teams designed to be slicker and more transparent for everyone at the club (U10's & U14's Sunday who trialled and men's team can ignore this news).

It uses technology inbuilt into the club website/app and once set up is proving very easy to use.

From a club perspective we will get a clear idea of who has paid what and from a parent/player perspective you will generate a transaction history/receipt for everything you buy with no need to remember reference codes.

The payment will be processed by some software called "GoCardless" into our bank account that will be marked up as care of Steve Dove (our club treasurer).

Like anything in life even the best laid plans don't always work perfectly. GoCardless works with almost every UK bank but at the 11th hour it started having issues with Virgin Money that it is currently resolving, this has caused a temporary inability to pay via that bank.

To ensure that everyone is set up to pay their October fees by the 28th of September on Wednesday 11th September we will be issuing a £1 trial payment (this will be discounted on your October fees); if you are successful in making this payment and receive a receipt please go ahead and cancel your current standing order. Should your payment not go through please do not cancel your standing order while we work through any problems.

You will be notified of this payment request by email and notification for those of you using the app. How to make the payment will be explained in these.
